“Our attitude toward life determines life’s attitude towards us.”
-John N. Mitchell
While browsing the web, I ran across this video and wanted to share it with you. A friend of mine has told me on numerous occasions “if you think it, you act it.” So, if you dislike your job or the individuals you work with, it is bound to show in your performance, and in how you interact with your colleagues. If you want to be successful, you need to enjoy what you are doing. How might you do that? Rather than trying to describe more, I think I’ll let Zig say it all.
Call To Action:
Try the activity Mr. Ziglar suggests. I did and it made a significant difference in my outlook this week. In the interest of full disclosure, I need to admit that I already liked my job, so it was easy to find things to add to the list. However, I can say that using this gratitude exercise made this week seem to go very well–even though I faced a few very challenging moments. It strikes me that this may work for people, as well as a job.
I would love to hear from others what your experiences were? I’d also love to hear from someone who might not like their job right now or who might have tried it with individuals they might be struggling with. Does this help make things better? Please comment!
